Subject: - Concerning energy conservation and national level picture competition.
Pursuant to the above subject and reference, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., Gandhinagar, Ta. 10/11/2021 with letter from Ministry of Power, Government of India. According to the letter dated 0711/201, school, state and national level drawing competitions are organized every year since 2009 with the objective of motivating children towards energy conservation by the Ministry of Power (MP). The activity is being carried out by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) on behalf of the Ministry of Energy with the active support of CPSU under the Ministry and the State Education Department.
POWERGRID Gandhinagar has been appointed as the nodal office in the state of Gujarat for organizing the above competitions. This year in Group-A, Std. 8 and group B in Std. 8, 9, 10 m. Competitions are planned according to two groups, the theme for which is (1) Azadi ka Amrit Mahotssv, Energy Efficie.
Students will have to personally register for the state level drawing competition in person online from 01 November 2021 to 31 November 2021 at www, ber-studentsaward.in. They have organized a state level drawing competition from 9th December to 10th December 2021. For the first, second and third place students in the state level and national level drawing competition and consolation prize distribution has been organized. Name of State Nodal Officer
Details of the number are attached herewith. This year, on the occasion of "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav", it has been decided to celebrate 5 years of independence on the theme of Energy Efficient India, so that students, teachers and parents can get energy.

The Ministry of Power (Mol) with an aim to motivate children towards energy conservation, have been organizing school, State and National level Painting Competitions, every year, since 2005. This activity is being executed by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) on behalf on Ministry of Power with active support of CPSUs under ministry and state education department. For carrying out aforesaid event in the state of Gujarat, POWERGRID, Dehgam office has been nominated as nodal office. It is to mention here that, due to spread of Covid
pandemic and nationwide lockdown, painting competition could not carry out in
year 2021. Further, due to relaxation in Covid norms, BEE has decided to organizeState and National level painting competition for year 2021 in 2 groups. Group 'A'Forward Cirector Primawould contain classes from 5th to 7th standard and Group 'B' would contain classesfrom 8th to 10th standards. Letter issued by MoP in this regard, has been enclosed forready reference.As per methodology received from BEE, timeline for Online registration for State LevelCompetition would be from 1st November to 30th November, 2021 and Nodal agencyommissioner Schools.responsible for further co-ordination/communication in this regard.of respective state would conduct State Level Painting Competition from 6th December to 10th December, 2021. of the above, it is requested to advise officials of the Education
2. Individual students would also be eligible to register themselves through Nodal officers or web-portal known as www.bee-studentsaward.in
3. Nodal Agency of the respective State / UT may identify one or more Nodal Schools (depending upon number of registrations) in the Capital City or other cities to organize State Level Painting Competition.
4. Nodal School must be big enough to accommodate participants following COVID protocols and must provide written
acceptance to undertake such competition.
5. Nodal Agency would conduct the State Level Painting Competition of 2 hours in such Nodal School for both 'A' and
'B' Groups separately for the registered participants from 1st December to 10th December, 2021 positively. Painting competition may be conducted in batches or in multi session during 1 Dec to 10 Dec 2021 6. Digital Participation Certificates under the signatures of Director General, BEE and the concerned School Principals can only be issued to those participants whose names have been uploaded in predefined excel format by the concerned school or Nodal Officers in portal.
The Ministry of Power has launched the National Awareness Campaign in order to promote energy conservation in the country. Painting competition for students at the School, State and at National level has been included as one of the activities of the campaign, which would not only make aware the children about the need of conserving energy but at the same time would educate and involve their parents as well in the above cause. The identified activity is one of the measures, which can help in creating awareness in the domestic sector. In order to strengthen and for added cognizance, higher classes of 7th, 8th and 9th standards have been included from 2013 in addition to existing classes of 4th, 5th and 6th Standards.
7. A common or separate selection committee / jury for Groups 'A' & 'B' comprising of 5 to 7 renowned persons from the field of Art, drawing teachers, officials from organizers, official from SDA and State Government's education department will be constituted. by the Nodal officials in consultation with State / UT Education department 8 The Committee of Experts / Jury of that particular State / UT will select 13 best paintings for respective Groups separately.
