After a long treatment, he recovered but lost his sight due to fungal infection, after which he was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Delhi for treatment. According to senior doctor Suresh Naruka, this is another case of black fungus, which is more common in diabetic patients who have low immunity. And also affects brain tissue.
