Terms and Conditions

◆ The annual income limit will be Rs.1,50,000 for rural area and Rs.1,50,000 for urban area.

◆ Only those beneficiaries who are able to purchase land are eligible for the benefit except government assistance.

◆ Only one person in the family is eligible for the benefit.

◆ Beneficiaries of government aided land will be eligible for non-sale for 15 years.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired an important meeting to discuss and deliberate on steps which can be taken to support children who have lost their parents due to Covid-19. PM announced a number of benefits to children impacted by the current COVID Pandemic. While announcing these measures the Prime Minister emphasized that children represent the future of the country and the country will do everything possible to support and protect the children so that they develop as strong citizens and have a bright future. The PM said that in such trying times it is our duty, as a society, to care for our children and instil hope for a bright future. All children who have lost both parents or surviving parent or legal guardian/adoptive parents due to Covid 19 will be supported under ‘PM-CARES for Children’ scheme.He also added that the measures being announced have only been possible due to the generous contributions to the PM CARES Fund which will support India’s fight against COVID-19.

 

Fixed Deposit in the name of the child:

PM CARESwill contribute through a specially designed scheme to create a corpus of Rs 10 lakh for each child when he or she reaches 18 years of age. This corpus:

School Education: for children between 11-18 years:

The child will be given admission in any Central Government residential school such as Sainik School, Navodaya Vidyalaya etc.

In case the child is to be continued under the care of Guardian/ grandparents/ extended family, then he or she will be given admission in the nearest Kendriya Vidyalaya or in a private school as a day scholar.

If the child is admitted in a private school, the fees as per the RTE norms will be given from the PM CARES.

PM CARES will also pay for expenditure on uniform, text books and notebooks.

 

Support for Higher Education:

The child will be assisted in obtaining education loan for Professional courses / Higher Education in India as per the existing Education Loan norms. The interest on this loan will be paid by the PM CARES.

As an alternative, scholarship equivalent to the tuition fees / course fees for undergraduate/ vocational courses as per Government norms will be provided to such children under Central or State Government Schemes. For children who are not eligible under the existing scholarship schemes, PM CARES will provide an equivalent scholarship.

All children will be enrolled as a beneficiary under Ayushman Bharat Scheme (PM-JAY)

A new disease has been found in children in Ahmedabad. Cases of multi-system inflammatory syndrome such as mucomycosis have been reported. Rakesh Joshi, a doctor at the Civil Hospital, told VTV that the disease was being studied at the Civil Hospital. A study is underway on the cases of children who have contracted the disease. The central government has made a big announcement for children orphaned by corona in the country. The tuition fees of such children will also be provided from the PM Care Fund. Financial assistance will be given every month till the age of 18. In addition, assistance of Rs 10 lakh will be given when the child reaches the age of 23 years.

The sensitive government of Gujarat has decided to take care of the orphaned children who lost their parents during the Coronation period. The important announcement of "Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana" was made by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.

Children up to the age of 18 years and both parents who have died in Corona are entitled to Rs. 2000 assistance will be provided

* Adult child whose study is going on will be given a monthly stipend of Rs. 2000 assistance will be provided

* Children who have lost both parents will be given the benefit of CM Youth Self Reliance for higher education on priority basis without any income limit.

* Foreign study loan will also be given on priority basis without any income limit

* Admission to Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya for education of destitute girls who have lost both parents - Admission in residential schools priority - Hostel expenses

* Children who have lost both their parents will get priority medical treatment under Mukhyamantri Amrutam-Maa card scheme.

Children up to the age of 18 years whose parents have both died during the Corona period are entitled to a monthly allowance of Rs. 5,000 will be provided by the state government under this Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana.

* Daughters who have lost their parents will be given priority in admission in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, residential schools run by the Central / State Government for the education of destitute girls. Hostel expenses will also be provided.

Now, the Chief Minister said that the children who became destitute and orphaned after losing both their parents during the transition period of Koro are not destitute children but the state government is standing by them as their guardian. He added that this "Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana" will be implemented in the state as soon as possible with full confidence that the future of such children will not be in jeopardy.

According to the Prime Minister's Office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that all children who have lost a parent or guardian due to corona will get help under the PM Care for Children scheme. On the other hand, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has also announced a child service scheme for orphans who have lost their parents in the Koro epidemic.
