Ambalal Patel talks about monsoon in Gujarat, 'Rohini Nakshatra will cause heavy rains'

'The next monsoon is likely to be very good. Because the yoga that takes place in the ground is called Rohini Nakshatra in the vernacular. '

Bardoli: The Tauktae hurricane caused a reversal in the state's (Gujarat) climate and heavy rains along with thunder and wind in many parts of the state. Two days of rain (monsoon 2021) is forecast in many parts of the state due to still premonsoon activity. However, according to the meteorological department, Megharaja's arrival will be earlier this time as compared to last year. If we talk about the official date of onset of monsoon in the state, the southwest monsoon may set in after June 15. The meteorological department has already forecast normal rainfall this year. So what did Ambalal Patel say about this monsoon?

Chance of good monsoon

Ambalal Patel, a forecaster of the monsoon this time, has also made a prediction in an exclusive interview with News18 Gujarati. "The next monsoon is likely to be very good," he said, predicting the next monsoon. This is because the yoga that takes place in the ground is called Rohini Nakshatra in the vernacular. So that regular rains are likely. Some parts of Gujarat are likely to receive 98 to 101 per cent rainfall, while many parts are likely to receive 100 per cent rainfall. Central Gujarat and adjoining areas are likely to receive 106 per cent rainfall. So Gujarat is likely to get heavy rains and monsoon is likely to be good.

It will rain on the coast of Saurashtra on June 14-15

Asked what kind of rain will be for the farmers, he said that the rain is also likely to be good for the farmers. It will also rain later, so sun crops are also likely to get better. There will be sudden thunderstorms in different parts of the state. It will rain in the coastal part of Saurashtra on June 14-15 and sowing will also start. It is also likely to rain in Mumbai on June 9, 10 and 11.

Notably, monsoon has been normal in Gujarat for the last two years. Gujarat received an average of 44.77 inches of rainfall last year, and the monsoon was relatively good. Kutch, which is considered dry, received 282.08 per cent of the season's rainfall with 45.74 inches, while South Gujarat received 68.11 inches last year. The monsoon is likely to be good this year as well.
